Q. We contacted B.B.B. and they're displaying an "F" score for Larlin's. Can you explain why?
A. Sure can. For over 8 years, we have striven for complete customer satisfaction with every project. It appears, however, with this one customer complaint to B.B.B (which utylizes a very complicated algorithm to calculate their scores-www.bbb.org/business-reviews/ratings/) has not given us the opportunity to sway this score more favorably, even after lengthy explanations of the event. One simply waits 36 months to pass. Then, you are allowed to pay your way into being a member in good standing.
Very simply...after completing the standard plumbing in the walls and the walls themselves, the customer finally brought in their choice of sink to install. This special order sink had plumbing requirements, which deemed redoing the plumbing all over again, even though the walls were already installed. The customer wanted us to redo the plumbing to satisfy these special requirements, at our cost. We disagreed. After failed deliberations, we felt no other recourse, but to end our relationship at the mid-point of this remodel project. The customer felt it necessary to slam our name to the B.B.B.
Even with lengthy deliberations and explanations, this one complaint drove our current long standing "A" score to an "F" leaving no other recourse for correcting it. This result amazed us also, to know that after working with hundreds of satisfied customers that this one complaint could have such devastating score result. Referrals from hundreds of satisfied customers are available upon request.
When considering complaint information, please take into account the company's size and volume of transactions, and understand that the nature of complaints and a firm's responses to them are often more than the number of complaints.
